I had just moved to Denver as my first big move away from home. I invited my friend Ryley to hike Pike's Peak in CO. She brought her cousin Adam with her--who just happened to grow up in the same neighborhood as me in Cleveland, OH. It was a 14mi hike with a lot of elevation gain. Ryley got altitude sickness and took a nap against a rock mid hike. It gave plenty of time for Adam and I to chat and get to know each other. I had butterflies by the time we made it down the mountain!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We've been together a few years now, but for our third date Adam and I went on a whim and went to Mesa Verde national park. I built my car out as a weekender camper for road trips--it is a real test of a relationship to spent not only 7 hrs on a drive, but also live out of a camper together for a few days! I had so much fun, we hiked and then stopped to paint landscapes of the park together. It was a risk that paid off and we still heavily associate the park with our love story today.
What would you do with $20,000?We're looking to get married next year! Cost has been prohibitive to get us started, we want to have all our friends and family at the wedding. Weddings are so expensive. We'd love that $20K to help us finally tie the knot!
