Connect How did your love story begin?

We knew each other by proximity in middle school english class. I was more social while my boyfriend was more introverted. My boyfriend had a crush on me at that time but he never spoke up. We formally met through a mutual friend and ran to each other again in HS, taking world history and Algebra 2 together. He’d always walk me to class and I developed a crush on him myself. We never found out about each other’s crushes until we met through the dating app. And since, we never stopped talking

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We attended Disneyland's sweetheart’s nite in 2024 where we both dressed up as the live action counterparts of Ariel and Prince Eric. We met and bantered with the actual characters, went on rides, and danced with each other in an outdoor setting which stole the attention of attendees and other disney characters alike! It was magical, it felt like the world’s watching us; we even received many compliments from the cast members and characters of our outfits. Lastly, we took a photo to remember it.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d want to use the money to invest in our future together as a couple. We start by creating a joint emergency fund, then pay off our personal payments. Like me w/ my utility bills and my boyfriend with monthly payments for his new car as a grad gift from medical school. I work full-time in healthcare, and he only recently became a Respiratory Therapist. So he’d also want to use the money to invest in a nice home for the both of us to live comfortably and establish our financial security.
