Connect How did your love story begin?

We met while working in a restaurant. We had an instant connection, literally from the second we first made eye contact. I didn’t think that could happen outside of what you see in movies, but it was like the whole world stopped for a second. We later cross-referenced this, and we both had the same feeling in that moment. Despite this, we started very slow and were just friends for about 9mo, until it became obvious that we couldn’t continue the “cool-act” any longer..

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are too many to count, but one that stands out takes place in Mexico: We were walking along the shoreline for what felt like forever, and we came up on a small cove and saw flock of birds circling close to the water. We went over and took a closer look, and to our surprise, a nest of baby turtles was hatching and they were scrambling into the water. It was truly to most humbling, chaotic, pure-life moment either of us had witnessed and to experience that together felt incredibly special.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’ve always wanted to combine our strengths into a business. F has dedicated his career to restaurant hospitality and management. I (A) am a wedding florist. We keep this dream of ours very close to home and don’t want to share too much about it before it’s happening, but we would put $20k into opening a restaurant/wedding venue/boutique motel. The $ would accelerate the process of creating this specific vision of a beautiful space with amazing food, music, and overall atmosphere.
