We met when we were 16 and 17 during what started as a summer romance. His sister was my best friend living the same neighborhood as me in Galveston. When he and the rest of his family came to visit his two sisters, we instantly hit it off. We tried to keep our relationship going after he returned home, but the distance made it hard. God had other plans, and brought us back together a couple years later. This year, we celebrated 25 years of marriage and are blessed with five amazing kids!

It’s hard to choose just one! Raising our five children together has been our greatest blessing, but some of our favorite memories have come from intentionally making time for each other through dates and travel. Before we had our first born, I remember distinctly when Mike took me on a date to the lake and said he loved me for the first time. Most recently, we celebrated our 25th anniversary with a cruise, and it was such a special time together as well!

Oh the times I’ve edited this! The things you could do with $20,000! First we would truly want to honor God with it so we would pray what to do with it and then tithe 10%. After that, there is a lot to be done around the house. We’ve been needing new windows, a new central air and heat unit. Those 2 things would probably tap it out. We desperately need to fit in a trip to see my oldest son and family! I also just decided to go back to school to become a Behavioral Specialist. All the things!
