We met when we were 19 and 21. We’ve been together 29 years, married 22 years. We are always laughing at and with each other.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Weiss' in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met in college. I was a sophomore and he was a senior. He showed interest first, but I had just broken up with my HS sweetheart and wasn’t interested. Then I became interested and tried pursuing him and he wasn’t interested. We eventually got on the phone (yes, old school landline) and stayed on the phone for over 3 hrs and as they say, the rest is history. The ironic part was that we were both from the same home town but didn’t meet until college.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I wouldn’t say we have one favorite memory, I would say it’s all of the trips we’ve taken together both as a couple when we first started dating all the way to the present, traveling with our large extended family. We love to travel and explore new things. He experienced Disneyland and Disneyworld for the first time as an adult and I was there with him both times. We went to Italy on our honeymoon and that was the first time we both traveled there. We’ve done it all from beach to skiing.
What would you do with $20,000?Sticking with the travel theme, we would take a trip with our three children. With one kid out of the house, and the middle about to head off to college our time is limited where all 5 of us are all under the same roof. We’d love to go away as a family.
