Our love story began through mutual friends—Joe was visiting from abroad, and we instantly connected. He canceled a job on an island to stay. We fell in love fast and true, and not long after, we got married beneath the train tracks in Abilene. It wasn’t traditional, but it was perfectly us—wild, romantic, and full of heart.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our favorite memories is bringing baby Koda into the world. He arrived fast at just 34 weeks—tiny but ready to meet us. It was a hard, emotional time with 21 days in the NICU, but we showed up for each other every single day. That season tested us, but it also proved our love could withstand anything. Through fear, hope, and overwhelming love, we became stronger—as parents and as partners.
What would you do with $20,000?If we had $20,000, we’d save most of it toward our dream of creating a peaceful island BnB oasis—a place where people could rest, heal, and feel at home. It’s been a shared vision for years, something we both light up about. We’d also put some aside for our family, making sure our kids feel supported and secure. It’s not just about the money—it’s about building a life that reflects who we are and what we value most: love, adventure, and home.
