Connect How did your love story begin?

We first met while setbuilding for her high school musical, the Wizard of Oz, when I was in 8th and she was in 9th. We hit it off, painted a fence (and then our shoes in the girls bathroom). She gave me her # but I never called. I didn’t know she was into me or that I was even into girls. FF to our All Choir field trip to see Wicked in Oct. the next school year, and we were reunited. I couldn’t take my eyes off her and finally realized my feelings. We started dating a week later.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

If I had to pick, it would have to be our road trip to New Orleans in Dec. We love road tripping together. We always have these incredible deep, meaningful conversations when we’re driving. Even tho it’s not a memory, my favorite part is the beautiful & chaotic life we’ve built together. We’ve faced a lot of trials in 9yrs & transformed. W/ my 8yr transition & her 5yr chronic illness, we help each other grow in every situation. We collected some fur babies along the way too (4 cats 2 dogs)💜

What would you do with $20,000?

Honestly (as much as we’d love to purchase the local Masonic Temple that was converted into a house), we just want to be able to buy a house with a big backyard for our dogs. After over 10 years of renting, we want to finally be able to build equity and settle down in our little town. B just opened an indie bookstore with her best friend here and, with her chronic health issues, we want to put down our roots. 💜
