We were in the same 4th grade class, then life pulled us in different directions when his parents moved across the state. Years later his parents moved back to my home town and we went to the same high school, but somehow never crossed paths. Years later, while he was home on leave from the Marine Corps, he messaged me out of the blue. We met up for a fun first date and never stopped choosing each other since!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our most cherished memories is visiting his brother in California. We spent the week surrounded by love, exploring nature, and feeling so connected to each other. It was already a trip we’d never forget, but everything changed in the best way when we found out we were pregnant. It felt like the beginning of a beautiful new chapter.
What would you do with $20,000?After losing our son, we felt called to help others facing the same heartbreak. We’ve decided on me becoming a birth doula and him becoming a sonographer. Having support from professionals who truly understand loss is so important. The $20,000 would help us pursue this dream and give back to families in their hardest moments.
