My current husband is my ex-husband‘s ex brother-in-law. It took almost 30 years in the making, but we’ve been married going on 12 years!
We would like to thank you for supporting Shelly & Greg Nanna in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
I met Greg while dating my ex almost 30 years ago. We lost touch and when I got divorced, he called me three times until I finally answered. I saw him that night and then every night or day until we got married four months later. That was 12 years ago this coming November.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We got married at the courthouse with my two kids and my father-in-law the day before Thanksgiving. The only people that knew were my parents, but since I come from my family, of eight children, my parents could not come as they were getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner the next day for 40 people. While saying our dinner prayer, my mother announced that that my siblings had a new brother-in-law and that we were married! Everyone was in awe and the happiest moment of my life!
What would you do with $20,000?I quit my job at the age of 53 in 2023 to take care of my father-in-law who had dementia and needed every day care. My husband, who is now almost 64 supported me 100% and has been working continuously to take care of us even though he has health issues. We would use that money so he could retire and we can finally go on a vacation for the first time together with just the two of us.
