Our love story began on Match. I’d been on and off for 3 years—he joined for the first time at 30 after friends gifted him a 6-month sub. But he only needed one date: me. I’d just rejoined, overwhelmed by matches, so I "built a man" with my dream traits—only 6 popped up. His smile drew me in instantly. The kicker? His best friend married a girl from my tiny hometown. Fate? Maybe. But from that first message, I knew he’d be someone special. And I was right.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?It’s hard to choose just one, but my favorite memory is telling him I was pregnant. I didn’t want kids—he did. I surprised him the night before a cruise, and his joy was unforgettable. I got very sick early on, in and out of the hospital, eventually on bed rest with a PICC line. He never wavered—waking up at night to give IV meds, by my side every step. That moment was the beginning of the most incredible chapter of our story.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, I’d use it to help finish our basement—a dream my husband’s had for years. He gives so much to everyone: caring for his mom, juggling a demanding job, showing up for our son, our lab, and me. He’s a huge Chicago sports fan and has always wanted a space to relax and gather with loved ones. Life is short, and he deserves a place that brings him joy—he’s earned it a hundred times over.
