It began at my home town carnival on a blind date. We met, talked, rode on the scrambler, and walked around. I didn’t want to drive home. So Rick agreed to drive back. What I didn’t tell him was he needed to roll down the drivers side window and push in the door handle or the door could swing open. So on the way back going a bit too fast, the door swings open and we spun into a ditch. Now no one was hurt, but he called the next day to make sure I was ok. He was smitten. I wrote a song about it.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory was singing a duet at his parent’s 60th anniversary party. We sang We’re Going to Jackson by John and June Carter Cash.
What would you do with $20,000?We would take an actual honeymoon, we were poor college students when we got married and never took one. Maybe a cruise. Or we would buy a camper/RV for our retirement.
