Connect How did your love story begin?

We first met at an adult singles activity in Utah, and became great friends right off the bat. After talking for a while that night, we started hanging out more and more frequently, until one day, Kyle asked me on a date. We went to a haunted corn maze, and ended up staying up until 4am making pumpkin shaped cake pops and singing and dancing around in my kitchen. Truly a hallmark romance from the start. Since then, we’ve been pretty much inseparable, and are even more in love now than we were.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

In the fall of 2024, we decided to move to a tiny island in Chuuk, Micronesia to teach at a school called Akoyikoyi. It was the most bizarre, unpredictable thing we’ve ever done, but it was also the most beautiful, rewarding experience. We fell in love with the kids that we worked with, and had so much fun learning from them as we taught. As with any job, it had many challenges to overcome; gang fights, wild dogs, leprosy and terrifying health standards to name a few, but it was SO amazing.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would love to be able to settle down, buy a house and start our family in the next few years. We want to continue to explore and travel together, but we would also love to raise and adopt our own kids to grow and adventure with. $20,000 would put a huge dent in the savings that we’ve started together, to work towards our goal of building a family and starting a home of our own.
