Long before swiping right, we met in a chatroom in Oct. 2001-me in Texas, Kelly in Idaho. We were just kids but our connection grew fast. After months of chatting and calls, Kelly visited for my birthday in Apr. 2002. We had no car, so our dates were walks to Denny's and window shopping. He lived and worked in Texas for a while and I tried Idaho but it just wasn't for me. So, in 2004, Kelly packed up his truck and moved to Texas. We got an apartment that day and we've been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is the night Kelly arrived in Texas for good on March 7, 2004. I stayed up all night tracking his drive from Idaho with his dad, through snow and storms. The next night, before his dad flew back, Kelly surprised me with an engagement ring he'd nervously carried the whole way. He proposed and I of course said Yes! It wasn't fancy -just heartfelt and perfect. That night marked the beginning of our forever and we'll never forget it.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we'd put it toward buying our first home. After 24 years and two kids, it's time for a place to grow old together and someday pass on to our children - a true legacy built with love, sacrifice and commitment.
