Connect How did your love story begin?

I saw a cute guy admiring my artwork hung up in our college art building hallways and noticed it was my piece. I went and stood next to him and waited for a cute greeting. He proceeded to turn to me and ask “what is this like a paint by numbers piece”. I then asked if he would be attending that nights artist talk to which he responded yes. I said “ I’ll save you a seat” with a wink. I showed up in early and looked my best to find out he didn’t show. We have now been married for 6 years.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our honeymoon was all inclusive in Mexico. Second night we had a dinner in the beach planned. Main course comes out and it was duck neck. I was convinced it was fish by the way it tasted. I decided to take action. I proceeded to dig my heel into the sand and bury the duck to not insult the chef. We still joke to this day about how we gave some raccoon the best night of its life. We still wonder if the man walking around playing fancy saxophone music ever told on us.

What would you do with $20,000?

I believe we would put some away in savings, some for a family vacation with our 5 year old son to make new memories that last a lifetime with, and some for our son’s medical needs. Our love has over come many obstacles in life and no matter what, we know that if we have each other we can do anything. $20,000 would just allow for some life hurdles to be not so tall to jump over.
