Kelly joined my church after I’d been there two years. I had given up on love, but we became great friends a year later. She was finishing her fashion degree at FIDM, and I helped with her portfolio using my graphic design skills. One day at Starbucks, something changed between us. All I remember was I connected our two laptops with an ethernet cable and she looked at me and said are our laptops holding hands. And I knew something was different. I caught feelings for her.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?On March 11, 2018, I was hit by a Mercedes going 35 mph and slammed into the windshield. Kelly rushed to my side, calm and full of faith, praying in my ear as I lay in pain. Her prayer brought me peace in the middle of the chaos and injury. I should’ve died that night—but God let me live. And that very night I knew that Kelly was gonna be my wife. It was the sign from God that I needed.
What would you do with $20,000?I will be honest, Kelly and I have incurred some bad credit card debt and are still trying to pay off our school loans, in the beginning of our marriage during the pandemic we made some financial mistakes trying to survive that we are still trying to dig our way out of, but my heart would be to use a good amount of the money to get my wife, a new car and to start her fashion design business.
