What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?On our 1 year anniversary of our first date, Alex proposed to me at our favorite AirBnB in Joshua Tree - during a game of Uno. I had just hit her with a Draw 4, as one does when playing to win, when she placed down a card I had never seen before. It read “Josie, will you marry me?”. I looked up seeing her holding a ring. She cried, I cried. I laughed, she laughed. I said “yes”! It was intimate, hilarious, and so perfectly “us”.

It would ease our student debt, help support our journey to permanent residency so we can build a future in the U.S., and help us start our next chapter as newlyweds, rooted in love, stability and hope for what’s ahead.
