Connect How did your love story begin?

We met online as teenagers when Gavin was looking for people to join his Minecraft server. I never joined it but we became very close friends and talked pretty much 24/7. We found each other at really difficult times in our lives, I was recovering from an abusive relationship and he was experiencing some family issues. We became each other’s support system as friends and then it was an easy transition into falling in love. We’ve been together for a little over 5 years at this point.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I think my favorite memory is a tie between when we got three triplet tabby boy cats, and introduced them to our two girl cats. They became an instant part of our little family. The other memory would have to be the night we got engaged in a rose petal strewn hotel room that he set up after we went to a beautiful rooftop bar for my birthday. That weekend was really magical.

What would you do with $20,000?

$20,000 would truly change our lives. We’d be able to pay down debt that we accumulated when we were struggling financially and unable to find work. We would be able to stabilize and not live paycheck to paycheck. It would help us recover financially from one of our cats unfortunately having an unexpected medical emergency that resulted in losing him. It would be easier to focus on us and be able to have a wedding before my granny loses all memories from dementia. We want her there for it.
