We were best friends since I was 14 and he was 16. After high school we kept in touch but didn’t see each other much. I got married, he became an aircraft mechanic. In 2020 I moved back home and was getting a divorce. I reached out to him and he told me he’s loved me all along but didn’t feel good enough for me. I hesitated but after a few dates I fell in love and realized I always felt this way. We got married, had a baby, and now living our best lives with each other.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Long drives are our favorite thing to do together. We go out into the Texas hill country and just get lost. One time we were driving around Austin late at night and stopped to get coffee. As we were pulling out of the parking lot he said something so funny that I spit out my drink all over his dashboard. He insists on keeping the coffee stain in the car as a reminder.
What would you do with $20,000?We would put it to getting a house or going on the honeymoon we never had. I was pregnant when we got married and due to my risky pregnancy we couldn’t really go anywhere. We are also trying to save up to buy a house but it’s hard on one income. With childcare as expensive as it is I can’t work right now.
